I often get my ideas to paintings while I am meditating, sleeping or just waking up. I see a clear vision in my mind of the painting. Sometimes the idea comes while I am doing something complitely else and then I need to grab my sketchbook and start drawing so I wont forget. Later I will get back to it and figure out how I want to express the vision that I had.
